Hello blogger. I don't really know whats the point of this abandoned site now since i hardly update. But still.. i'll make the effort to post at least once a month? hahahha hopefully i'll be determined to do it. Its my term break now! ( My holidays just started today actually haha and i'm really bored already. I gotta find a job before i rotttt in this 2 months)
Things have been pretty good:) Thank God for helping me get used to poly life, i guess. Had 2 papers and LOADS of assignments. Its kinda different from sec/jc since i have to be consistent in every assignment and do exceptionally well in them to get a good GPA. Its tough okay, whoever says that poly is meant for slacking is absolutely retarded. Been really stressed for the past few months and i'm so thankful for this break now heh.

Anyway just wanna update about some exciting stuff from the past few months for memories sake. I guess i'm gonna talk about outings i had recently and my really fantabulous 17th bday i had:) hehhh

Okay i forgotten the date, but a month plus ago, i visited the last kampong in Sg with Clara:) we had a really good time over there and took plenty of pretty pics. Then we headed to expo to grab some good buys from the flea over there! i luv these once in awhile catch-ups and i guess its really important for us to meet up once in a while to update on each others life.Picccas above!!

Right. And my 17th Birthday. You wouldn't believe how many cakes i've eaten this year for my birthday. Seven. yup literally. I could still remember how i swore i didn't wanna eat cakes for the rest of my life during my birthday week. heh. Okay, back to the main point. Had a really good surrpise from my poly mates in school. They surprised me with a baked alaska cake and a really beautifully drawn card one day before the actual date. Really thankful:)

& on the actual day itself, i had a really enjoyable time as well. The girls & guys did a pretty good job of surprising me huh. Okay, so i met Jerrald after school and we headed to westmall to get a cake (intended for his friend's birthday and the stupid gullible me believed him, good acting skills jerr). but somehow, he changed his mind and we headed to clementi mall to look at the baskin robbin's cake. in the end, we settled for swensen's icecream cake chosen by me hahahha ( i still dont get the hint how stupid am i) Then, he went to matt's hse to 'celebrate his friend's birthday' while i went home. Halfway through, at arnd 11pm+ he requested to go out for supper with me. I reluctantly agreed and yadayaadaaaa our noodles took so long to come and everything worked out as plan. He dragged me to matt's house at 11.55pm and reached his house exactly at 12am and TADA, the girls ( Vanessa, Jocelyn, Nadia, Sufang couldn't make it tho) and Matt surprised me. I was really shocked to see the girls there cause i had no single clue!! And they bought for me 2 cakes. HAHA i'm a glutton you see. A bakerzin cheese cake and swensen's icecream cakey!! (apparently they had a miscommunication thats why 2 cakes appeared haha) We slept over at matt's place and watched a movie. Oh, and a really pretty bag as a prezzie. REALLY THANKFUL FOR THESE PEOPLE <3<3


Words are not enough to express myself how thankful i am heh. Then, i walked home and slept for a little while and was awoken by nora's text wanting to meet me. Met her at lot one, chit chatted and she gave me a really sweet prezzie that i couldnt forget. Thank God for her as well, ranting partner:) I didnt sleep for more than 3 hours that night and had to prepare to meet Clara to celebrate my birthday in town:) We had really nice Indonesian Food and caught up on our lives again:) Walked around in town and she got me a beautiful necklace! Thanks bby:) Met my family for birthday dinner at Wild Honey after that. It was gooooood<3 That sums up how i celebrated my birthday on the actual day! I celebrated with my girlies in poly (Val,Sheryl,Prixx) in town a day after! Had skinny pizza and pigged out. Got a really nice dress as a gift!! and a few days later, met the fatties(Cy,Ch and Mq) for dinner and caught up on our lives and got so much preezzzies and a nice chocolatey cake with ' Fat for life' on top of it. Thanks babes.  Another surprise from another bunch of awesome girls (Shaikah,ika,nutt,mq,serah,ph) which was quite successful as well:P Yep that sums up my entire bday with 7 cakes. (Cakes from random people too)

I had a really good birthday! I have no regrets knowing these people in my life. So, so thankful for them:)Anyway, have been popping up in PJC recently. Supported Nora in Pioneer Got Talent and yup, she sang really well! Proud of her! Its always nice to visit the school and talk to the people there. I really mizzzzz the peeps there (Classmates,mg mates and sec sch mates of course)

A day with the horses

Hello, it's been AGES since i've updated. I think this blogging trend is really dying down from what i've observed. Sigh. Life's been pretty mundane for me. I don't know where to start from because its been really long and i've got so many things in my mind that i just wanna pour it all out.

Its an unearthly hour of 2:47am now, but yep today's the start of my vacation break! really glad:) I needed it so baddddd. Okay, so my last proper post was before poly started. Hahaha yep it was that long. I've no idea where to start, so i'll just type whatever i can think of now.

Poly's really different from me.. i guess its an advantage for me to get to experience both junior colleges and polytechnic. To be honest, i kinda prefer being in a jc though i know i can't take the work stress. But i guess i suit the environment there much better than what i'm currently in now.

Orientation in poly was great. Managed to make new good friends from different courses, and definetely new found classmates as well. Have been coping well with my assignments too. and i've started attachment already. Yep, going to a kindergarten every tuesday and observing children ain't a easy task at all. Though the kids are really so adorable and tiny that you just wanna pack them in your bag and bring them home, they can be a nuisance sometimes too.

Hm,  i guess i ain't as comfortable as what i used to be in secondary/jc. But i guess this definetely needs time.. i'll get used to life in polytechnic soon. Oh and i'm in soccer for my sports and welness which is a compulsary module. Yep, it wasn't my choice to get into soccer but i'm having fun being a soccer girl so far, which is pretty good:) I know right.. you guys can't believe that Desiree is actually exercising and playing sports blahblahblah. & I'm in tennis for CCA. I told myself i gotta join a sports cca now because it is my only type of exercise i get in poly, especially with the constant snacking i do in school every single day. It's true when people say that you're on your own in poly. No one cares what you do.. eat ,picking up phone calls, going to the toilet, you need not have permissions to do that during tutorials and lectures.YEP, totally different from secondary school. I have to constantly tell myself i can do this. I must get used to poly life. Really.Its been quite a torturous month trying to fit into the environment actually. But, its okay.. i'll be fine.

Anyway, i'm so glad i've been keeping in touch with my secondary sch mates and jc peeps. You know who you guys are.. Van, Clara & rest of the gals, Nora, Jerrald, Juven ,Peiwen, Ben,Sirjer, Mq, Cy, Ch and peeps from MG08, I guess u guys have a really special place in my heart. Please don't drift apart from me<3 i love you guys:) Really thankful for these people who i've been bragging complaining about how mundane my life has been but they have always been there for me. Yup doubt they will read this anyway, no one reads it. HAHA. okay whatever.Just wanna update because i'm bored and i need some entertainment. Who knows i'll get my blogging bug back.. yep who knows.

17th.

Hello. It's been pretty long since i've posted a proper one.

Anyway, it was Vanessa's birthday last wednesday. I decided to bake her a cake covered with fondant and i settled for a strawberry chocolate fudge cake. It turned out not only looking like a princess cake (like what she wanted), but it also tasted fabbb.2 days of hard work doing this cake wasn't gone in vain since she really liked the cake huh hehh:)

I've never tried making a fondant cake before and moreover it's for van's birthday. So i was really hoping that it would turn out well. Only tried making fondant cupcakes last year which was quite successful as well.and i was thinking..why not a fondant cake? hm. Truth be told, i don't really like to eat fondant . It's made out of marshmellows and icing sugar but this time round it tasted prettty ok. Quite satisfied actually. And when i say hard work, it was really HARD WORK. I was stressing out on the night before her birthday because i wasn't satisfied with how the fondant texture was on the cake and i was sooooo pissed. but it turned out alright ,thank God:) from melting marshmellows, to rolling out and colouring the fondant, to baking the cake, to cutting strawberries,to making the fudge yadahhhhhh. Not bad for a first timer huh. Okay, actually my maid did help abit. (But i told her to help me as little as possible. she did most of the washing haha)

So, i gatecrashed and trespassed into school on Wed afternoon to celebrate her bday with my secondary school classmates and they loved the cake:) Anyway i got the candles from spotlight on monday night. really pretty right. and i spent almost my entire monthly pocketmoney on her little present. Got her a helium balloon, Paulfrank lipsmackers and Chanel lipgloss. gah that small little thing cost me a bomb hahaha:( but it's worth it since she loves em.

Hm i wouldn't want to bake another cake for the coming months.it's so tiring.
Alright till i post again. (i doubt anyone reads this blog anyway.it's just for memories i believe)

p/s: Gonna watch the movies i rented today, be a couch potato while i dig into my tub of yamiyogurt. let's indulge.
